Lynda – Secretary

I was introduced to netball by an inspirational Primary teacher and her husband who cared. They made huge difference by ensuring girls had the opportunity to play competitive sport, this was not a common occurrence during the early 70s in Swansea. Saturday fixtures, with a whole team crammed into the back of their car… !! Fond memories- which would pass a RA now..

So I was really flattered recently when someone I had the privilege of coaching said something similar to me…

After moving here in the late 80s netball became a major part of my life

I have worked for EN both as a coach educator as well as Development Officer. I have played, coached & umpired at Regional level. And most of you will be aware that Recycles NC is a major part of my life.

Netball has introduced me to amazing people that I am most proud to call my lifelong friends.

I have been a part of the county committee since the early 90s having undertaken a variety of roles, Secretary being my longest serving position- (20+ years) . This will be final season in post so it is really heartening to see a fresh cohort taking over the baton.
