Jo – Minute Secretary

I stopped playing netball when I left school, but picked it back in my mid twenties, playing in social leagues, and haven’t looked back.

I fell back in love with the sport and decided that I wanted to be more involved. This started with becoming an umpire, gaining my C award, and then becoming secretary for Telford Netball League.

I’m a new member of the Shropshire Netball Association committee, but so excited to be involved in trying to grow the sport locally and create opportunities for people to just play and have fun or to develop their skills on or off court.

Being involved in netball I’ve met some amazing people, gained friendship and support, and found a great way to unwind and relieve the tensions of working life. If I can encourage others to do the same then it’s a win!
