Hi everyone! I’m Sofie, and I’m thrilled to share a bit about my background and my passion for netball with our Shropshire community.

​Netball has been an integral part of my life since my secondary school days. I played regularly through college and university, where I had the privilege of serving as President of the University of Derby Netball Club, before returning home to Shropshire to begin my PE teaching career.

​I’ve been involved with our county coaching team since 2015, including coaching the U13 age group for eight rewarding years. Today, I’m proud to serve as the County Performance Pathway Manager. In this role, I focus on devising our overall program, supporting and liaising with our fantastic coaches, collaborating with other county performance pathways, organising match play and tournaments, and continually raising the profile of Shropshire netball.

​Beyond the pathway, netball is rooted in everything I do. I previously served as Vice Chair of the Oswestry League, and currently, I’m the Director of Sport at Oswestry School, where netball is a vibrant and essential part of our sports programme. Most importantly, I’m still an active player myself, you can find me on the court every Monday evening in Shrewsbury!

​I’m so excited to keep growing the game, providing opportunities for our youngest netballers, supporting our local talent, and seeing our pathway thrive.
