Shropshire Netball COVID-19

Dear Netballer
I am bring you up to date, as much as I can, with the current situation surrounding Playing our Beautiful Sport.
Firstly I hope you, family, friends & fellow netballers are all keeping well and remain safe.
The Health & Safety of all Netballers is our No1 Priority and all netball activities have been suspended until further notice. And unfortunately on Wednesday the 2020 Vitality Netball Super League, already suspended, was cancelled for 2020.
We continue to be guided by England Netball(EN) & Government guidelines.
Many of the England Netball Staff are on furlough and this includes our own Netball Development Office, Ruth.  We are being supported by Worcestershire NDO, Lindsey Hacking.   I am also am receiving updates via England Netball and Zoom Meetings.
EN are looking at scenarios for a return  Post October Half term and January 2021 (and everything in between).  Obviously this will be updated along Government Guidelines.
Shropshire Management Committee had a zoom meeting the other day and we feel that we need to keep you informed of any developments/updates. We are aware that some leagues had finished play, some have cancelled remaining games and are looking at how they finish their league.  If you need any advise please get in touch.
If you are due to hold your League/Club AGM please look at the guidance on this link

Again we are here to offer support if required.
EN & West Mids Region are currently looking at Affiliations and I will be updated on these in mid June.

There are lots of resources on EN Site, Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms to keep you engaged in Netball.  I have seen lots of local club challenges – which have been great to see.

We are all missing netball but we will be back as soon as it is safe to do so.   If you have any questions please let me know and if we at Shropshire cannot answer them we will try and get an answer for you.    In the meantime please stay safe, stay at home and protect all our Keyworkers.  If you are working we thank you

Kindest regards from all at Shropshire Netball
